Something I Have Learned Along The Way--Usa Yamagami
In Japanese schools, a lot of homework is assigned during the summer vacation. Elementary school students, in particular, have to do all kinds of homework, including calculation drills, free research, arts and crafts, and essays. In junior high and high school students, the amount of homework is reduced, but the content of homework becomes more difficult.
Either way, it is best to finish homework early after summer vacation begins and play spontaneously in the second half of the vacation.
However, I accumulated homework every year and did it just before the last day of vacation, almost in tears.
This habit of putting off unpleasant things is a disadvantage but not a benefit if not corrected. In fact, there were several times when I didn't finish my homework and couldn't submit it on time.
I want to somehow fix this lazy habit and become a person who can meet deadlines before I start working as a member of society.
I always finish my homework just before the deadline.
ReplyDeleteI also very lazy person so I want to correct my lazy habits.
ReplyDeleteI know your feeling very well! I didn't want to do the summer vacation homework!
ReplyDeleteI have never submitted any homework before the deadline.
ReplyDeleteWow, Usa, I remember the summer holiday homework in Japan too. My kids would bring it home at the beginning of the summer holidays each year. There was certainly lots to do. Actually, I struggle with leaving important tasks to the last minute, like you. One strategy for helping you do those important tasks first is rewarding yourself with something you like once you have completed one. David :-)
