A Holiday Snapshot -- Ayano Yoshiike
I took this memorable photo last Sunday. The dog in the middle of the picture is my host family dog, Storm. The place that I took this photo is Saint Clair in which I live. I chose this one because that picture shows my great memory. Before coming to New Zealand, I had decided some of my lists that I had always wanted to achieve. One of them was going for a walk with a dog because I like dogs even though I have never had a dog in my life. I knew that my host family had a dog, thereby, I was hoping to do that. However, Storm is a literally big, strong dog so it was significantly difficult for me to take him for a walk. On top of that, at first, I was a little bit nervous around him due to his appearance and his strength. Though I was afraid of him, I was getting used to being with him. In addition to that, I became stronger and I came to be a person who is willing to do new things. Thus, I decided to take him for a stroll. I was a little bit nervous about it but my host mother said ok to do that. While I was taking him for a walk, he was a extremely good boy. He barked when he saw two dogs but he stopped barking immediately. I was really impressed with him. I took him to a hill in Saint Clair and we could see beautiful Saint Clair and Saint Kilda beaches. I really enjoyed the time with him and I hope he felt the same way. Anyways, I am really happy that I achieved one of my lists and I came to be closer to Storm.
Storm looks awesome. I can see that getting to know him & taking him for a walk has become a highlight for you. What a good experience! David :-)
